I'm doing my first PC build and i couldn't find an answer to this question anywhere.
Does Gigabyte H87-HD3 Motherboard support AMD FX8320 8 core CPU?
I'm aiming my build to be within $1,250/£758.50 or 910 Euro.
So far i have chosen the following parts:
Ram: Kingston Technology 16 GB, 1600 MHz DDR3 Non-ECC
CPU cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (120mm)
SSHD: Seagate ST1000DX001 3.5 inch 1TB Hybrid Internal Solid State Drive
Case: Corsair Carbide Series 300R CC-9011017-WW Windowed Gaming Case - Black
PSU: Corsair Builder Series CXM 750W Modular 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX/EPS PSU
GPU: EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 Superclocked ACX 2GB GDDR5 Graphics Card
DVD drive: Asus DVD-RW Drive (DRW-24F1ST, S-ATA, DVDR: 24x, CD-R: 48x, E-Green, Disc Encryption II)
Motherboard: Gigabyte H87-HD3 Motherboard (Socket 1150, H87 Express, DDR3, S-ATA 600, ATX, Haswell, Supports 4thGeneration IntelCore Processors, GIGABYTE UEFI Dual BIOS)
Nope, that motherboard only support Intel Haswell Processors. So for a little more you're looking at an i5-4670k instead of the FX8320. To support the FX processors you need to look at AM3+ motherboards.
