Is someting wrong with my HDD or is it something else?

I don't know how old my computer is but I'm having a problem where my HDD is squeaking. A day earlier i got a new one and it still is making the squeaking noise. and before i switched the HDD my computer started crashing. I got that first hdd three months ago and then i switched it.

Hard drive info:
Seagate 3.5 500GB SATA

Computer info:
HP Media Center
Intel VIII V

I know it's not the fan because it sounds like it's coming from the upper part of the computer around the power supply and my fans are around the middlebackside area.

I was wondering if that was the problem cause the way my computer began crashing was it totally froze for at least 3 minutes and after that it ran normaly. the last time i ran it with the old HDD it froze and fully crashed.

You were right because i switched my 630W power supply to my brothers 250W power supply and only heard the squeak once and that was when I turned it off. Thanks for your help.
