Hey guys, whats up?

Wondering if someone could help me, i've been experiencing some annoying artifacts while playing games. I checked the temperature of my videocard and it is fine no over heating.

My system is
cpu - i5 2500k
memory - 8gb
video card - evga gtx 770

I have only been receiving issues this weekend, other than that it was fine. It looks like snow on my screen while playing games. I thought it was one particular game, so i tried a different one and stil nothing.
Could geforce experience cause this problem? this is the only thing I installed recently. How about direct X? System restore said I installed direct x on 12/1 which was about a week ago.

thanks guys!

Here are the photos of what im experiencing. The screen shot did not really capture all of the artifacts but it is pretty bad. My PSU new, bought it along with the video card 1 month ago. 750w corsair bronze certified. The directx version is 11, I tried to download and install the runtimes but it gave me an error when installing Did a clean install of the newest driver (not beta) still nothing. Have not tried to underclock the card, should I use precision x for this? Is it possible the card is running at unstable rates? I will try right now to underclock and see what happens, thanks for all the support. I would hate to go through the RMA process.

Sorry, can you clarify? Does this mean you have the white snow artifacts in other games, or not?

It's totally possible. In fact if you're only getting artifacts in one game I would assume it's your drivers that are causing things to go all out of wack; try uninstalling your drivers and install the newest WHQL drivers from Nvidia without the geforce experience. I would also suggest downloading the DirectX 9.0c redist package (link to it here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 ).

Now if you're getting this artifacting in all games then I would assume either your GPU is dying or the power delivery to it is insufficient.

Hope this helps.

I first noticed it in the new rise of the triad, then it is really bad in batman:arkham asylum, not too bad n assassins creed black flag. I will get a screen shot for you guys when I get a chance. I had the newest nvidia drivers 331.82, uninstalled it and tried using 331.65 to see if it would help. The driver change didn't help. I'll get the dx version as we'll. thanx for the replies.

Like huilun02 said, try underclocking your GTX 770's memory and core clock speeds to see if the artifacting goes away but regardless I think you probably have a defective GPU and I would suggest making a warranty claim and getting an RMA setup.

If you have any way to test your GPU in another system I'd try that first before shipping it off, so you can eliminate any other possible factors.

My first GTX 670 would boost it self until it crashed(and it was well above the rated boost speed. this was set by Nvidia at the factory), but never looked like snow. it was MUCH worse.

The replacement actually boosts even higher, but does not crash.

This would not be the first time I heard of issues with newer cards doing this, just never heard it called snow before.

I got things like this

So i decided to try another game to see if it would appear there. I had already completed arkham origins so I didnt think to go back to playing it, but i did and there was no artifacting. It looks like I am having issues with older games or games that run in directx9? Origins, tombraider and assassins creed black blag are working fine. Ill continue to check the game forums for answers, any thoughts on this?

Maybe I am blind, but I am not seeing anything snowy looking in those images. It could be that jpg compression is hiding it or something. Even when I zoom in(to make the image full screen, I am not seeing anything that stands out.).

Can you explain the places in the image to look or maybe.

Its hard to see but there is one white spec on the first image, it didn't show we'll on the screen shot. Picture the whole screen full of those white dots. Same with the batman shots, the whole screen fills. I've noticed that while playing sometimes the whole screen is filled than a few steps later I get no artifacts. If you look closely on the second photo, by batman scape you can see some white dots.

Thanks for your help guys. I spoke with EVGA customer support and they dont believe its my car either. I ran furmark for about an hour and the card didnt crash, only artifacts in older games not new ones. Played skyrim for a while with no problems, and skyrim has a lot of dark spots to see the white dots I was experiencing. Thanks nukemaster for replying so quickly.
