Do I need to change my host address?

Hi all,

I've been having trouble connecting to my home WiFi network on my two WiFi client PCs. The router reports receiving their access requests according to the blinking WiFi light on the box but does not establish the connection. The password is correct.

One of the machines also repeatedly drops its connection to the router - and won't even detect the router under the possible access points menu - until I power off the router and power it back on again. Unplugging the machine's antenna and reattaching it isn't sufficient, only a router reset allows it to detect the device again.

What I've noticed is that both machines share the host address of 192.168.0.2

Is it the fact that these machines share this address the reason they can't always connect?

This has become very irritating, especially on one machine which can take multiple reboots and multiple router resets before I 'get lucky' and it decides to connect.

What is the cause of this?
