Are Sleeve Bearings that bad?

I've been reading that Sleeve Bearing are bad and that they need to be replaced every year? Is this true or does the fan depend on it? This is the fans im looking into getting. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181050

Sleeve bearings (technically not bearings IIRC; they're just a bush) get worn through pretty quickly. I'm not sure exactly how long they last, but I'd avoid them.

No, they're just noisier and tend to have shorter lifespans than other types. If you want a quiet and long lasting fan you should consider fluid dynamic bearings.
