Hey guys just quick question about motherboards however it is a dumb one but my ocd is kicking my add so bear with me. Is there a general rule of thumb when connecting and disconnecting the connectors on the board such as 24 pin at power or cpu? What I mean by that is how many times can those connectors handle the stress before they start to break the solder or loosen up?

Solution
Big thing to keep in mind is just take your time, none of the connection should take much force, DRAM is generally the tightest thing you'll pop in on a build

Before i knew anything about computers and tried to upgrade one of my parents desktop, I pulled on the 24 pin so hard I felt like i could break it because I hadn't realised there was a notch that you had to press down as well. I feel like the connectors are pretty tough. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

as long as your holding down the clip to release the pins (only on some boards) you should be fine.

I've rebuilt computers using motherboards MANY times. It has never broke on me.
But then again It was a kevlar board.

If you're using a cheap board under $100 it might be flimsy (my m5a97 r2.0 amd board had sata slots break off)
