Hey guys, this is my first post on this website so please bare with me if I don't get some lingo in your responses lol.

My sister has water spilled onto her macbook pro, it fried the logic board (the motherboard) and it started to oxidize it. I managed to save the hard drive from any water damage. So now my sister has exams coming up soon and she has some notes on the HDD that she needs. I tried plugging the HDD into my desktop (running windows 8.1), and it picked it up in device manager, however, I do not know where/how to access the files. If I go to "This PC" it doesn't show the Mac HDD, it only shows my HDD and my BD-ROM drive.

(NOTE: I tried booting from the HDD itself and I played around in BIOS. It shows up but I am still unable to access the drive. Yet, my computer says the the drive is functioning properly and all of the drivers are up to date.)

So my question to you guys is how can I access the files? Is there a program or something that would allow me to do such a thing
