So today i had finished building my first pc. Everything went well! At first i didn't connect my graphics card so i just used the dvi on the motherboard. It looked just fine. With a resolution of 1920x1080. After a bunch of testing making sure everything works i decided to plug in my gpu. And thats where the problems began. I fire up my computer and use the Dvi ports on my gpu and the resolution went from 1920x1080 (being the highest) to 1280x1024 D: what happened? i didnt change anything just plugged in my graphics card
