is 73c ok for the amd a10 6800k?

well, maximum operating temperature of 6800k is 74'c..

still below the permissible limit, but it's better if you do something about that..
make sure your heatsink is attached properly..and replace the thermal paste of it..

Replace you cooling system to 3rd party cooling is a good solution..

something like, well, like usual, coolermaster hyper 212+ will be great for your system..

way to high i would suggest getting it down going over the 74c limit is not recomended it will reduce life span

however this doesnt mean you have to spend alot on a decent cooling unit

most coolers will beat stock

removal of motherboard required unless you have a backplate cut out

remove cpu before using a cotton swab apply this with cotton swab till it removes everything be gentle as possible do not apply pressure or you will bend the fragile pins then wipe clean and repeat dry off place back in board

now grab mx4 paste squeeze out 2 pea size ammounts in the centre use a gift card hard plastic e.g library card ( not credit card) spread the thermal paste with card do not lift card up as your spreading this prevents bubbles spread even until you can not see the metal at all then remove plastic tape from cpu cooler you have bought and install by instructions given fm1 instructions are same as fm2. once installed go around your motherboard cpu socket with a second cotton clean cotton swab as it is to remove any thermal paste that was squeezed out this also acts as a seal.

plug in fan and check temperature

it should be idle 30s max temp in far cry 3 50 this will also leave room for occing if you so choose just keep it in the under 70s

why? some said water cooling is much better than just heat sink and fan,.. by the way is it good for overclocking?

liquid cooling is useful if you wanna touch very high clock..for example 5Ghz or more..
at that speed, delta performance between air and liquid cooling is noticeable..
but at stock speed, or just moderate overclocking, the delta performance is negligible..

that's why you'd better to go with air cooling..

Coolermaster 212+ is best price for performance..it's not the best performer air cooling available..
but it will be able to handle the heat from your processor at moderate overclocking at low price..

if you wanna go with the best air cooler, then phanteks ph-tc14pe is the best air cooler available in the market..
delta perfomance between this cooler and 212+/evo version is more than 10'c..

water cooling has way to many leakage problems and for a10 is a waste
