My recent homebuilt computer hasn't been able to POST yet, and I've narrowed the problems down to a DOA motherboard or processor. Are there any ways to test which of the two components is the broken one?

Case, GPU, and CPU fans all power on when booted up. The monitor doesn't detect any kind of connection with the GPU or the MB. I get the three long beeps when booting w/o RAM, but no beeps at all when the RAM is installed.

All the components are newly purchessed from Newegg.

CPU Intel Core i5-4670 Haswell 3.4GHz
MB MSI H87-G43 LGA 1150
GPU MSI N660 TF 2GD5/OC GeForce GTX 660 2GB
RAM G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3
HDD Western Digital WD10EZEX 1TB 7200 RPM
PSU Rosewill Green Series RG630-S12 630W
Case Rosewill BLACKHAWK Gaming ATX Mid Tower
LITE-ON DVD Burner
Cooler Master Hyper TX3 (Arctic Silver 5)

Worse comes to worse give newegg a call and tell them you want the parts replaced they always gave me no hassle when it came to things like this. Had to have them replace my CPU/Mobo/PSU all at once due to similar problem on my last build. They replaced a ipod classic (right when they started calling them classic) with no questions asked besides why in which I said "it's broke", it was followed by a "ok give me a second I am writing up the replacement thing right now and setting it up so you can print the return shipping label" kind of response. My longest call with them to date is 5min, because I had to find my package information, I expected to be on hold for over 20-40min like what Dell did to their customers, I was surprised when...
i rarely, in fact i cannot remember, seeing a broken cpu, these things are the last to go based on experience.

my suggestion, build the rig, using as few components as possible. use 1 stick of ram, no hdd (to test post maybe), no gpu. then add one at a time until it fails

So if you can narrow it down, if you can't don't hesitate to give newegg a call. They've earned my business for a reason, their pretty painless for this sort of thing.
