Is there pc2 6400 ram that will only work in AMD motherboards? I was shopping for more pc2 6400 240 pin DIMM ram and came across sellers who said theirs was only for AMD motherboards. Is there really a difference? That makes no sense to me. Comments welcomed :) in case you want to know my motherboard is a Nvidia 680i with an LGA 775 socket with an intel duo 2.2 processor.

well, there is no difference between amd and intel memory module..

we can swap memory from intel based system to amd based system, and it should be no problem..

Maybe the seller just a seller, he/she just selling computer parts, without knowledge about computer technology..
