Hey there,

I'm building a new PC, specs:

SSD
HDD
2x 4GB Corsair Vengance
Gigabyte r9 280x OC (r 2.0)
Asrock z87 extreme4
i5-4670k (I will OC it a bit, but not that much)
Scythe Ashura CPU cooler
Corsair 230t
+ mouse, keyboard and 2 more USB connections at max (iPhone charging, etc)

Will a XFX 550W PSU be enaugh for this build? I plan to play new games as ultra or close to ultra settings (60fps)

Thanks for the answer!

The XFX ProSeries 550W can supply 44A on the 12V rail (528W).
R9 280X is rated at 250W.
Typical system draw in games will be about 350W, mostly on the 12V rail.
If this power supply behaves as they have specified, it is enough but not with a lot of head room.
Expect the PSU fan to spin up in games.
You might consider a 650W power supply which will run quieter and probably last longer.
