Hey guys! my first post on this site! and i was wondering whether or not i should crossfire this? What would the performance be like? and would it last for a long time? thanks!

do you have an R7 260x already or do you want to start with crossfired 2x R7 260x?
since the cards are so new, i assume you want to do the latter. in that case, it's a bad idea.
getting a single powerful gfx card would be better. for example, radeon R9 270x or R9 280x.

since the R7 260x is lower midrange and has 128bit memory bus width, crossfired R7 260x won't be able to perform well even today's demanding games, compared to crossfired R9 270x, for example.

more downsides: when you start with a crossfired setup with two lower end cards, you pretty much lock yourself out of future upgrades since you would have to swap out two cards instead of one.
your pc has to be able to support two gfx cards, from motheboard to case to psu and cooling and so on.
