Hey guys I just built a brand new machine with crossfire 7950's and an i7-4770 (non-k) cpu.

I tested out my first game (crysis 1) at 1080 with everything set at very high and AA at 4x. I only played about 15 minutes of the beginning of the game but I seemed to average an fps between 38 and 60+, I dipped as low as 38 when I was sprinting at fast speed through a field with smoke in it leading up to a cutscene.

I would have thought that with crossfire I would have gotten more fps than this? Sometimes hanging around 45-50 fps, what do you guys think?

I was also monitoring my gpu usage and temp and most of the time my GPU1 was at 94%(never higher I guess) and 63 degrees, my GPU2 was at 99% and 52 degrees.

Does this also sound normal?

Just want to make sure everything is okay with my new build, thanks guys.

Looks absolutely OK dude, Crysis 3 is an absolute dog of a game to run, especially with AA turned on (and at 4x). If both cards are nearly maxing out then give them a little overclock. Games are going to get more and more demanding, although with Mantle coming out for BF4 soon and more titles as it goes on, you might get better performance from better looking games :)

The top GPU of the two is always going to be hotter as well, simply because heat rises and excess heat from the bottom card will rise and go to the top card, meaning it will have to work harder and get hotter in the process, especially prevalent if the cards simply dump hot air into the case.

Ok that's great! But the only thing is that the game was Crysis 1 not 3 :/  I just wasn't sure that since it was an older game I should have gotten better fps, but maybe its just poorly optimized, especially for newer architecture?
