battlefield 4 with the AMD R7 260X

Solution
On 1440x900 resolution or less, definitely should be playable at low settings smoothly.
AMD had demonstrated BF4 running smoothly on the integrated graphics of the upcoming Kaveri APU, and the 260X is definitely faster than that!!
Also, if the mantle API patch is released, you can supposedly expect upto 10% or more better performance boost for free!

just thought id let you in on my experiance with the R7 260x 2gb from sapphire yes it is a nice little card it works well in all the games ive played such as Max payne 3 and crysis 3 with which ive been able to play at high-ultra settings though i do have to play with AA off and no vsync the only things it has trouble with is the shadows are a tad bit glichy but it pass-able oh should note that i play game at either 1280-800 or 1440x900 but still that fine for most games given that most game out so far have yet to use full 1:1 pixcels ratio at 1080p instead they use 1:0.89 pixel ratio but use scaling to full that gap given the illusion of full 1080p when its really just 900p but thats what one must make do with till these soon to be released next gen games are those are the ones you have trouble playing with this GPU for an idea of what game you can play the list would include every game from mid 2013 and back one game i know of so far that it cant handle is COD:ghost but then again that game has most bugs then any one of the deserts in africa, now if you want to be sure to be able to get 45+ fps on every game for the next 2-3 year i would suggest you think of buying a R9 270-280 either of these cards should set you up for the next few years and either of them are only a $100 or so more then a 260x but for now 260 is fine and guess the added bonus with AMD is that thing called mantle any game that allow it will gain an automatic 5-15% profromance bonus

On PowerColor 260X and my 19'' monitor (1440x900) (i5 3350p cpu and 8gb of ram) i play bf4 all on high, msaa 2x and fxaa on low (this settings of aa give me clearest picture - higher fxaa results it bluriness) with FPS 60-75.

I dont know what these other people are saying, but if you perfect the settings just right, you can have near MAX settings with that card. I am currently running that card with 3x monitor gameplay in BF4. I get great results (with the exception of the Siege map, but thats a very graphic intensive map) and even then, its not the GPU that's causing me to not be able to max it out, its my CPU (AMD phenom x4). So from someone who put A LOT of hours in BF4 and with 3x monitors, I can tell you that you can do ful 1080p at near max settings. Full max settings on the Silk Road map as well.

Not sure whats going on with your systems but ive been playing BF4 on all ultra(besides AA) @1080p with an AMD athlon II x4 635@3ghz and an R7 260x with easily +45FPS.
at the lowest it dips into the 20s,but thats not for long.

typical FPS

Lowest FPS ive seen yet..

EDIT: Guess that is only single player, multiplayer is another story.

Hi guys i dnt realy post any replies realy but i just wanted to add my say about this card and i can say with out a doubt having gotten this card a few weeks ago and playing Bf4. Iam running the new 14.4 drivers tho so it could hav made a difference over the previous drivers.
I can play all settings in ultra in single player and all in high on multiplayer with AA off tho and i dnt have the best Pc either running a i3 2120 3.3ghz and the Msi Radeon R7 260x 2gb Oc Edition. Mantle or Dx11 it doesnt matter much realy for me, i love this card and i would recommend it if your on a budget

I bought the ASUS R7 260x Direct CU II
I have a mid range gaming pc
Core i5 2400
8 GB RAM

I am a regular player of Battlefield 4 and it gives me a regular 70 fps on high settings, 45 on ultra, and over 100 on medium settings. I run it at a resolution of 1280x1024 though. And these are fps on directx 11, add a few more if I switch to mantle.
