My G Skill 2x 4GB PC3-19200 DDR3 2400MHz Gaming Memory won't let me boot.

I have MSI Global Z77A-G43 GAMING motherboard and it supports up to 3000MHz so they should have no problem.

I put my bios back to default just in case my i5 2500k 0verclock was the problem. Didn't work

I tried both XMP profiles and it didn't work.

When i go into the ram frequency in the bios the highest setting is 2133mhz. When my board supports 3000mhz. So i tried 2133 and it didn't work

I am using the ram during this message so it is not broke, But it is only running at 1600MHz .
It will only boot@1600MHz

2500k's can't run @ 2400 its not a memory issue. Boards have very little to do with memory speed anymore as the memory controller is on the chip try running them at 2133 and tighten down the timings, not all 2500k's can even do 2133, most can however. There should be a 2133 XMP setting to try. If you just set them to 2133 and tried to boot it likely had the default timings which are too tight... look for the XMP settings, one of the profiles should be 2133. If that doesn't work try bumping VCCIO up .1v

Yeah its not the memory its the CPU, if it will do 1866 at those timings, then the memory is certainly in working order.
