Hello everyone. I've got a Optiplex 760 here that's giving me all kinds of trouble and I just can't seem to figure out why.
We recently had a 4 day power outage due to ice. When the power came back on, my 760 would only flash 1 and 3 briefly and 3 solidly when the power was pressed. I did some research and discovered this is usually a power supply error, so I replaced it. Same error. In the next few days I replaced the motherboard with new CPU, the RAM, the graphics card and the DVD-rom. Basically rebuilding it completely and that darn error still shows! Finally, I tried pulling the CMOS battery and letting the unit set for an hour before putting it back together. Now the power button flashes an amber light in a strobe like manner and I can't get the unit to power on. What have I done??
