Nope, you can install one if you want to protect it a bit, but you don't "need" one. Since you keep the laptop closed when not in use and won't use that much with poking things at the screen, it's not nearly as useful as a screen protector for a phone or tablet.

You don't use a laptop, even with a touchscreen the same way as you do a tablet, so no, you won't really get it scratched or dirty. Unless you use it in a funny way, if you are always touching it and using it outside, it will be just fine. A screen protector on a laptop will just serve to distort the colors and image clarity more than it would to prevent any damage. Almost all of the screen protectors are also anti-glare.
