I am going to bet no. You cannot hook a DSL modem to anything other than a dsl circuit. If you have a cable modem or any other form of internet you need a different router.

Now if the telco delivered your DSL jack as RJ45 you can convert that but it is much easier to just plug a RJ11 cable into the rj45 jack. The center pins are exactly the same and the plug will fit...it will be kinda hard to get back out though. If you want they do sell cables with RJ45 on one end and RJ11 on the other.

I think that we are really going to need more information than this. My first guess is that you are about to connect a network line to a modem's phone line, which would be a bad idea, but I can't really tell.

First, please describe your "Before" case better. Do you have
o A phone line from the wall with an RJ11 plate
o A modem with an RJ11 socket on the input side
o What is the output connection from the modem, and what do you connect it to? Directly to the computer? To a router or hub?

Second, what part of the above does the new RJ45 connection replace? Is it your wall outlet? The connection on your computer? The input to the modem? The output from the modem?

A picture or three would help if it's easy for you to post them. Google Translate does a very good job if you are not comfortable in English.

Pretty much you will have to buy a different router. RJ-11 wan ports almost always mean the router contains a DSL modem and will only attach to a DSL connection.
