Hi,

So i bought a new gpu and Psu... I got a Cx430M corsair and the MSI 7770ghz ed.
I installed just the psu everything worked fine with my old ati4650.
However once i installed my new gpu and use the DVi-I adapter to VGA my screen will not detect... I also tried the HDMi cable to the TV and no signal. I know the HDMI entrance tv works cos i have tried out the Rasperry PI on it before.
What is likely the cause? Screen, adapter or Gpu?
I am running a Quad Core Q9300 pcu So ddr2 mobo

So i have just tried the adapter on my old card to as it also has VGI-I display did not work also... So i am guessing its the adapter i have.

Is it best to get a new DVI-I/VGA or HDMI/VGA?

Forgot mto add that my screen is a Samsung:

Hi,
It might be a power supply issue. AMD recommends a min 500W PSU.
Try though testing the card in a different system for making sure that it does work.

The thing is i can hear the GPU load and pc boot etc... also i checked on tomshardare forum about the CX430M and everyone says its more the enough power to boot it and i dont have another system to compare it with.

I have ordered a Belkian DVI-I to VGA adapter, so if that dont work i can only guess its either the screen i have or maybe motherboard (pci 16 connection)?

If anyone has found similar problems pls post...

This is the card i got http://www.ebuyer.com/434588-msi-graphics-card-amd-rade...

my friend has cx430 running a 7850...no problems whatsoever
i think he needs bios update since his mobo is 5 years old
