I just finished my first build, I have plugged the monitor in to the GPU and connected the VGA (through a DVI to VGA adapter), no signal. I then tried the MoBo VGA slot, no signal, just the no signal message. All the fans spin up and there are no beeps. Mobo is Z77x-UP7, on start up the debug LED on the board cycles through several different codes quickly and then settles on A9. In the manual A9 means “BIOS setup has started”. I think this means the board is fine and is waiting for my input for the BIOS setup? I just can’t see anything and not sure what else to try. Also I was expecting a beep, should it beep before a bios setup starts?
Any thoughts on what to try are much appreciated.
Z77x-UP7
I5 CPU
GTX 770 graphics card
ACER monitor, works on other computers so it shouldn’t be the problem
