Hello,

I was preparing my first PC build, when I ran in to a problem. As case I want a NZXT Phantom 410 an as CPU cooler I want a Phanteks PH-TC14PE. But in the specs of the case it states that max CPU cooler height is 170 mm and the Phanteks is 171 mm high. Does the 1mm matter or will I be fine? Also I have seen a video of both beeing fine, but others said they couldn't fit it in.

Any advice?

Btw. Motherboard: Asus Maximus vi Hero

as long as its not making contact after the dent no, you'll just always have a dent in your case I suspect it will fit without issue, but if it doesn't just tap it with a hammer and fix it (by it I mean the side panel, under no circumstances should you alter the Cooler.

But when you look at the picture of the Phanteks the problem is not the metal heatsink, it is the fans (made out of plastic). Does that still make it a problem if the plastic part of the fans touch the side wall of the case?
