Help install battlefield 2 patch 1.4

Hi, just got delux version of battlfield 2 and I've got win 7 and it wont let me install 1.4 patch or 1.5. can someone help please? ta

I get this error "Error Code: -5004 : 0x80070005
Error Information:

right click the exe, go to properties, go to compatibility tab and select xp from the compatibility drop down list after ticking run in compatibility mode for and apply then ok

Tried that but no good. Same error. However installed 1.4 patch in safe mode. But when game boots it shows version 1.1. WHy? thanks
