I had to completely wipe the hard drive & restore from the disc. Now, it won't connect to the internet. It is a second-hand computer, so I have no information about the ethernet connection, drivers, etc. It worked before, but the computer has been sitting for over a year.

Solution
You need to download a LAN driver, or Wifi driver for your ethernet port or wireless device to connect.
Things get tedious when you can't download drivers to go online.

Only way is to get a CD or USB and download the driver on there, and run it on the formatted computer

I tried downloading one last night and put it on a flashdrive, but everytime I tried to install it, it said I had to be connected to the internet. Any ideas?
