Hello,

I recently bought an his r9 270x 2gb. I read on the box required psu is 500 watt.

My pc configuration

Adus p8hs67v
4gbx2 1333mhz kingston ram
2 small fans
Coolermaster 500watt exreme power supply
Combo drive
Monitor asus ms246h

I checked calculator on a site and found out total consumption to be 404watt.
The fans on motherboard and gpuspin when i turn on the system. I have tried aeveral times to take out and reinsert the gpu. Used both hdmi and dvi , both giving me no signal on monitor. My psu comes with 1 six pin connector which i conected to the gpu. On the box of gpu it says ( 500w or greator with two 75w 6pin pci express connectors recommended. And 600w or greator for crossfire.
I already have a px9800gt 512mb. Checked it with both dvi n hdmi. It works fine. Even i checked on board vga and it worked too. Now i have spent all the money on this and cannot afford to buy a new power supply.. I think psu is the issue.. Before purchasing i did check a thread here a guy asking for same gpu if it would work on 500watt psu and the answer was yes.. Plz help what to do :(  .. What is wrong ? I cannot figure it out.

update the bios to the latest version and if the motherboards display outputs are working with the 270x in the machine then it means the IGP on the board/cpu is overriding the 270x and needs changing in bios.

I checked out the bios, the settings are kept at PCE/PCI . Below is my powersupply

http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/product.php?product_id=...

Will this work with my system along with the r9 270x ??

I also forgot to mention i have core i5 2500k processor and WD Green 1TB HDD.

Is the issue with the 2xpci six pin connector?? cauz my psu only provides with one pci six pin connector which i have attached to the gpu. While i do see other 3pin connectors free because i am running only 1 harddisk. Are their converters available ?? like attaching an adopter wire which converts 3 pin connector to six pin connector ?? will it work for my system ??

yes you deffinetly need a powersupply with 2 6 pin connectors, a 6pin connector and a molex to 6pin will not work with it.

Waiting or more answers :(  ... And please do recommend me cheapest psu for this system. Would a 600 watt psu be enough for this along with 2 six pin connectors.
