Rampage 4 Extreme XMP Problem with 32gb quad channel gskill ram

For some reason I cant get X.M.P. working and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong....
any help would be appreciated...

I followed the directions from
https://docs.google.com/document/pub...0OU5VPe6CUoFso

and my computer still refuses to post...
1 stick at a time works but all four sticks cause the computer to not post until it rolls over to another bios...

My setup is as follows:
Motherboard: RAMPAGE IV EXTREME Bios 4503
CPU: Intel 3930K at stock speed while I'm trying to fix my ram issue
Memory: gskill F3-19200CL10Q-32GBZHD
Watercooled by: Swiftech H2O-320-Elite
Graphics: EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Dual Classified Hydro Copper

Solution
Try boosting (both if they exist, or either if you just have on VCCIO and VCCSA) the Sandy bridge E processors aren't huge fans of 2400 mhz. Do they boot at 1333 MHz as a set? Additionally will a single stick boot at with XMP settings engaged? There should be a 2133 XMP setting as well you can try that. If you want to drastically increase the chances of 2400 MHz you need a IB-E processor. I also assume the 4503 bios is the newest one?

Then most likely the Voltage adjustments will help, but it still might not be possible to run all 32gb @ 2400 with that chip. Try a 2133 XMP profile (assuming one exists) and see if they all boot. Additionally any chance all 4 slots are functioning?

They just dropped a new BIOS today for stability issues (4701), but with your CPU and 2400 sticks may need an OC of 4.1 - 4.2 on your CPU....I'd update the BIOS, try enabling XMP and give it a go, if no joy OC to 4.2 and try - then if still no joy, raise VCCSA + 0.064 and try

There wasn't so I set it to profile 1 and manually lowered just the speed to 2133... I assume your right about my 3930k not being able to run it at 2400... meh... at least its running at 2133 now thanks

I've been debating on buying a 4930k to drop in my motherboard...

Yeah the 3930 is a really good processor but unfortunately seems to still have the IMC of a sandybridge processor which means 2400 is not a guarantee. A 4930 should get 2400 out of that kit rather easily however the price is pretty big for not much of a boost to performance. I would likely wait for something that has a wider gap in performance unless you're actually using your system for things that take hours to render right now.

Ya I was able to run it at 2133 but I decided to just wait for the new x90 platform when I'll be upgrading from sandy and ddr 3 anyways
