Running SSD + HDD... Want to add a mSATA SSD

My laptop crapped out on me but the msata SSD is still good, so I want to use it on my desktop. What I am trying to accomplish is this:

1. Have OS running on my current SSD.
2. use the msata SSD to cache the HDD, using ISRT
3. Without reinstalling/losing any data (I have a 660gb ton of work on it)

Things I researched, discovered:

1. I need to set the HDD and msata SSD in RAID 0.
2. my current SSD + HDD combo is in AHCI mode. Switching to RAID mode in bios causes a bootloop (loads to windows logo, blue screens for a second, crash, reboot.)
3. I can change it into RAID mode via registry edits, however I need confirmation on how this works and if it achieves what I want to do.

Any help or direction would be appreciated.

I am on a MSI Z87-G45 motherboard, running windows 7, 120G SSD, 16G SSD, 1TB HDD.

Boot up with it in ahci mode and run as-ssd. In the top right corner it wil say either msahci or iastor... which is it? And please dont post a screenshot of it. I cant see images when I'm at work. LoL & thx.
