So im in a pickle. I can't decide wich one i should buy, GTX 780 Ti(gigabyte oc) is around 16% faster than R9 290x with out overclocking the R9 290x, so how much could i gain more performance on the R9 290x after i overclock it, and mantle is thing to be consider to since i will be playing lot of Battlefield 4... I will intend to play Elder Scrolls Online, GTA V,Planetside 2 and Battlefield 4. So wich one do you think i should buy? R9 290x could performance better in battlefield 4 after the mantle and if i overclock it to the max, though that GTX 780 Ti isnt overclocked as much as possible. If i took the R9 290x i could save up few hundred and buy a gaming keyboard and more storage.. Well we still do not know the non-reference prices but they still should range around the same price

More about : gtx 780 290x reference

i would wait for the non reference 290x to come out first and read the reviews + see what mantle acutally does and then make a descision.

The 780ti is less than 10% faster and that's at 1080p, at 1440p its a toss up. Hawaii is faster clock for clock, but as it stand currently I would advise to wait for non-reference R9 models to hit. With better cooling the 290x is a monster, though if you want to buy now an cannot wait the 780ti is excellent!
