Hello I would like to build a beast of a machine primarily for Blender and Adobe Creative Suite CS6. I use all the creative suite applications (Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Indesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Speedgrade, etc) and thus need the most powerful system I can get. My biggest question is the gpu: should I go with a Quadra or a Geforce?

I already own the motherboard and cpu...

Thank you very much for your help!

If you arent going to be doing any gaming, I would go with the Quadro. It is designed for 3d rendering and business applications, and the drivers/driver updates are going to reflect that. With the geforce/gtx cards, the drivers are going to be aimed at making gaming better, which is what the cards are designed for.

As jeremyp79 just explained, the GeForce cards and the Quadro cards are designed to handle different tasks. They are not necessarily equivalent, its like trying to compare apples and oranges.

Do you mean what is a price equivalent Quadro to the GTX 770?

Regarding the monitor I would look at P2414H or any of the new P models that just came out. From the few reviews out there everybody's saying they are better than the older ones, including P and U variants. Do some research on it.

Sadly it's 1920X1080 and not 1920X1200 as your choice. Best of luck!

Funny thing is, they are cheaper as well, at least in Sweden.
