New Hybrid Seagate Drive, What do I need ?

Ok, so I just purchased the new Seagate Hybrid Drive. When I received it, there was no drivers included. When I run my windows index, my score does not improve from my previous hard drive. Is there any specific drivers I need to install to take use of the SSD portion ?

Also, I'm using Windows 7, and a Z77 Extreme4 Motherboard with an i5 3570k, and MSI 660 Ti 3gb version. If any of that helps.

You have no control over the ssd portion at all. It is only used to cache frequently read files and only from that drive.
If its the boot drive - Reboot your computer 3 or 4 times and you should notice an improvement.

Might want to check and make sure you have the latest BIOS and mobo drivers - especially the SATA and chipset drivers

Ok, One last question is this: Does it matter if i run it through my Sata 3 or Sata 2 ? I think its a Sata 2 drive, but I actually have it on my Sata 3 port, is that a problem or better ?

Either/or, I'd go through the SATA 3 #1 port if this is your OS/primary apps drive

Thanks, Yeah I originally ran it through my Sata 3 #1, just wasn't sure if I was doing anything wrong when I realized it was a Sata 2 drive.
