I have an issue with either my motherboard or my graphics card, but I don't really have the knowledge about this to determine which. I have tried my graphics card (Sapphire Radeon HD - 7850) in both PCIe slots to no avail. When I plug my HDMI cord directly into the motherboard (Asus P8Z77V-LK), I am able to get an image on the monitor.

I guess what I don't understand is whether or not this is an issue with the slots on the motherboard or the card itself. When the computer is on, the fans are turning on the card.

What can I do to determine what's faulty!? (Also, I have tried multiple HDMI cords and VGA as well. Like I said, the cord works when plugged into the motherboard and the graphics card is removed.)
