I have a problem with a new Radeon HD 7850 1Gb graphics card. Received it in the mail yesterday from PCCasegear here in Australia, plugged it into the PCI-E slot, plugged in the 6-pin PSU power cable but the PC then the monitor would stay blank - the BIOS did beep 8 times at the start though. I tried reseating it a few times but no effect. I also tried plugging it into my older PC but the PC wouldn't even post at all. I replaced the original graphics cards into the PCs and they boot up fine with video so it's not the PCs or the slots.
My setup is as follows:
AsRock AM3+ mobo
AMD 6300FX cpu
8Gb (2 x 4Gb) DDR3 PC-12800 RAM
Antec 650W VP650P PSU.

My older PC that I also plugged the Radeon 7850 into has the following specs:
Asus AM2 mobo
AMD 9455 Phenom cpu
8Gb ( 4 x 2Gb) DDR2 PC2-6400 RAM
Thermaltake 700W Litepower PSU.

I emailed PCCasegear last night, describing the problem and seeking advice.. I'm waiting a response.

Any ideas, anyone?
Thanks.

Update: I tried the 7850 card in another PC (an older i7 setup) with a 1,000W PSU and it worked happily in that system! That was my wife's PC. The graphics card in her PC (Geforce 560 Ti) works in my PC so I've just left the swapover.
Just strange that the Radeon 7850 didn't work in my PC nor my daughter's.... Wondering whether the 7850 card needs heaps of wattage...
