I am planning to get AMD FX-8120 (FD8120FRGUBOX), will this be able to handle the 1866 frequency with this particular motherboard.

Kind of have a similar question. Currently I have the 8370e in an ASRock 990 Killer mobo. I want to upgrade my RAM to something faster.

Everywhere I look it seems the compatibility is listed for only the Intel chips with XMP enabled, my problem is, I have an AMD chip.

I'm really looking at several different sticks from Gskill. Different speeds but the board says upto 2450.

My question is the Ripjaws and Sniper series from Gskill compatible with this board and then upto what speed?

Just did some extensive testing with an 8370 and a Crosshair mobo using 2400 sticks, but would suggest 2133, haven't found that many 83790 that can carry 2400. I'd go 2133/9, of those i have tested thus far, from GSkill the Tridents were best, but the Snipers and Ripjaws X were right there. and in the review, the Tean Xtreem were tops on the testing
