Hello, I recently screwed up my computer by sticking an AM3+ CPU into an AM3 socket. I think it just messed up the BIOS but may be irreparable. I have a GF615M-P33 motherboard and the CPU I plugged in was an AMD FX-8350 (4ghz 8core) but now I have the problem of no input (keyboard and mouse both use USB) and no monitor (using VGA for monitor), with no remote desktop. If I can fix this without buying a new motherboard (if buying a new motherboard would even fix it) how would I go about that. The old processor which I have currently inside of the computer and still isnt working is an AMD Phenom II X4 920. Battery is Xtreme Gear 600W ATX and graphichs card is a ATI Radeon HD5670. The computer is able to turn on, LED's work, Fans work, internal components work, no beeps on start-up. My monitor and my console controller both get a small burst of power at the beginning (lasting no longer than a quarter of a second) before losing the power. I'm wondering if I fried the motherboard and just need to replace it or if it's a matter of updating my BIOS without any access to my PC. Also checked RAM, checked all the connections, checked motherboard seating and not sure what else to do. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks for reading and thanks in advance!

If I didn't supply enough information please tell me what else you need and I will gladly post it. :D

I looked into it but that seems to only be a possibility if you have a signal to your monitor or you set up a remote desktop ahead of time. Correct me if I'm wrong because I'd love to have this up and running before I upgrade it.

how did you update your bios, and did you have a working monitor? I tried plugging in my Monitor to the VGA in both my video card and my mobo and it didn't work either time. Should I try a different monitor?
