Screw in outlet.....

Okay we have no clue how it got there but in my new house i moved my computer closer to an outlet and theres a screw in the third hole shaped like and o. Does anyone know how to safely get this out without shuting off all my power or getting shocked lol

P.S. I had no clue were else to search this and which catagory to put it under so my bad xD

From your description, it sounds like it's in the ground terminal to which you shouldn't get shocked. HOWEVER, I suggest you simply shut off the wall/room that the outlet is on. Contractors should (and typically do) label which breakers by wall, room, or device. And even if they didn't you honestly should go ahead and do it. It one of the things that should be done in every house because some way or another, we all do house repairs.

yea but after i shut the power off how would i get it out its in there pretty good kinda looks like someone squeezed it in just enough so the head was in there good..(not wat she said)lol

Well you could always go buy another outlet at Home Depot or Lowes and replace it completely. Just make sure you buy an outlet that is rated for the same Amps (or greater ) as the breaker.
