i have a 24" monitor and i use it all the time, but recently i started watching streams etc.. i have a hdmi cable which i use for the monitor at the moment and i have a blue 'vga'? cable that came with the monitor. What are my options? i want to buy a 2nd monitor but the tv (if it works) would be much better. My graphics card is HD7870 oc edition.

EDIT: I forgot to mention the tv is a 32" sony bravia which supports HDMI.

Thanks for the answer! i just noticed that the tv also has a blue input at the back.. will i lose any quality by using it? and i have a home cinema system for the tv so will that work fine?

blue input is VGA. Quality on the VGA is not as good as DVI/HDMI because VGA is analog whereas DVI/HDMI are digital.
The home theatre system will probably work. My friend uses his laptop for his home theatre system as well.
