I have narrowed down the choices and left me with these:

Asus P8Z77-V LK
Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H
ASRock Z77 Extreme4
MSI Z77A-G45

Asus is too pricey so it comes last in my priority
ASRock E4 has build issues, like bottleneck on SATA controllers, and low quality MOSFETs
I'm left with Gigabyte and MSI
Are these two boards any good? Or am i wrong about ASRock and Asus?

This rig will be used for gaming, no overclocking, i want it to be futureproof, reliable, and solid. I just want to get the best value for my money. :D

If it helps in any way, here are the rest of the components for this build.
CPU : Intel i5 3470
RAM : G.Skill RipJaws 2x4GB 1800
HDD: 1TB Western Digital Caviar Blue
PSU: Antec HCG 620M
CPU Cooler : Hyper 212 EVO
GPU : Palit GTX 650 ti Boost GDDR5
Chassis : Thermaltake Armor A90

Thanks,

The Asrock one is also good for the price but the asus is the best. I'd always go for that. However, u could also have gone with the z87 mobo's and used the i5-4430 i.e., LGA1150 socket.

why do you have ivy bridge when haswell has been out for months

go with a i5 4430 and a H87 motherboard. Out of those 4 motherboard brands, MSI is probably the worse and Asus is probably the best. Gigabyte and ASRock are somewhere in between.

Z77/Z87 boards are built for overclocking. No point putting money on features you won't use.

I have an ASRock Z77 Extreme6 in my rig and it is awesome! I have not heard of or come across any of the problems you stated. I would definitely buy ASRock again. Great for overclocking , I have my I7 3770K perfectly stable at 4.6ghz and could easily push it higher.

ok so i think almost everyone i asked regarding my build always tells me to choose haswell.
It's been almost 2 weeks of reading reviews and searching for alternatives. I chose IB because that's what i know, and haswell seems too new. But it seems most people tells me that it's much better to use haswell. I will just dump my previous build and start from scratch using haswell now. So for a start if i will get the i5 4430, what boards can you suggest to me, might as well select one model per brand and a comment. I'll do the further research. And i'll just come back here for any more clarification.

Note : I won't be overclocking, and i prefer ATX over mATX as what i have read, ATX are more futureproof than mATX, though i really don't know any difference of the two aside from the extra PCIE slot. If anyone can also enlighten me regarding this, like temperature advantage or what, :D

:) Thank you

I have read from a review that E6 is more superior than E4 and on that same review, i read that E4 has low quality parts compared to E6.

he might not be OCing but he might want to run a second gpu and H series wont do that i believe. Besides from what I have read the difference between the H and Z series is 20 to 50 dollars and the z series offers a few more bells and whistles besides the OC options

the H87 PRO 4 would be good for the price, but if u want to SLi then go for z87.
