My i5 3570k is constantly going up to 100% Usage

Hi guys.
I have an Intel i5 3570k overclocked at 4Ghz

Recently, I have been constantly getting around 80-100% CPU Usage when I am playing games, and it is causing me to lag in game and I wanna know why is it doing it and if it is my CPU that is Faulty or what ever.

I am quite certain that it is my CPU, I have had it for around 9 10 months, any thoughts?

You probably need to check your computer for malware. No game can do that.

What gpu do u have? Do u have an aftermarket cpu cooler?what psu do u have?give it's details.

If you are suggesting that it might be bottlenecking, it isn't.

I have a GTX 670, Hyper 212 and a SS-ST60F-P (600W)

It isn't bottlenecking, it just started happening out of no where a few weeks ago

how much ram do u have?did u apply the thermal paste on the cpu correctly & fit the fan unto it.

I have 8GB of RAM, and I do not know, my friend installed my cooler and re-added thermal paste, which was about 9 months ago
I know that the Heatsink is on correctly, along with the Fan

Check you CPU temperatures in game or under load, and check the speed is turboing to 4ghz and not throttling down.

This is absolutely a virus!!! I used to have this in the past, update your anti virus and perform a full scan, and also try a fresh copy of windows, the latter one almost always works...

Are you sure it is a Virus?
I scanned at least 4 times with-in 24 Hours with Malwayre Bytes, No Viruses were found.

Alright, so, I just scanned,

It has 0 Threats, but 2 Warnings, but those warnings had an error that said "The system can not find the path specified"

I am 100% sure, because I have had the same problem, I had the same problem in the past, maybe your anti-virus fails to catch the virus, if I were you, I would use kaspersky! have you tried a fresh copy of windows

Just because the symptoms are the same, doesnt mean its the same thing. Many things can cause high CPU usage in games, not just virus....

When I am just browsing around, listening to Music and just on Facebook/Skype,
GPU: 35-40 Degrees
CPU: 40 Degrees
When playing BF4 (High Settings 1080p)
GPU: Around 55 Degrees
CPU: 65-70 Degrees

Actually it can do.. If the CPU is being throttled then usage goes up because it runs slower. Simple really.

In your case your thermals look fine, but it certainly looks like a CPU bottlneck. What FPS are you getting in the game?

What is your CPU usage like in windows when idling? Is it showing up all 4 cores?

Well i wasn't suggesting that david, an i5-3570k cannot bottleneck a 670. I was asking to know whether ur pc is getting enough cooling or not.
Now, u should apply new thermal pest and after that update ur bios.

Well then do afresh windows installation and install fresh new updated drivers and do a bios update.

It ain't about thermal things... It's not a bottleneck, nothing is the bottleneck here! I have no doubt, it is the same nasty virus! apply logic to it, even if it were a thermal thing, the cpu would throttle to let's say 2.5ghz even in 2.5ghz the i5 3570k keeps its head above water and will run any game smoothly, look at this benchmarks at 2.5ghz!

To the O.P, just do a fresh windows installation and update the bios.
