i cant play anymore as good as i did because this PC running in WIN7 has this annoying mouse acceleration which i cant control, my mouse is a Razer Deathadder but in the software acceleration is turned off and when i use a cheap logitech mouse i still feel that acceleration, so hard to play FPS games.

Solution

OKay first the video, yes it is supposed to do that, because it detects your still moving, so as you keep moving it accelerates...

hi... look this happens in EVERY game i have so im shure its not the game and its windows, now i got to say that i already tried doing that control panel thing which didnt make a difference as for the checkbox has always been unmarked and i also tried Markc Windows 7 Registry Editor which just made it worse (idk why but it made my mouse at 1100 feel like a 7500 as for i tried to move my view just a peak and i would do 3 spins)... any ideas? the Markc Windows 7 Registry Editor i did it correctly im shure about that for my screen is 100%... what can i do ?? :( it seems that after i uninstalled that then i didnt have any more acceleration but after 1 hour of gameplay it came again.... pretty weird... sigh....

im shure its not in-game as for this happens in all games, yeah its still in desktop... sigh... had this problem since a long time ago any more ideas? im trying to do my best to fix it but i just cant find whats the cause or solution, such a weird problem it is i got to say...

Okay simple test: Make a new account. Reboot computer. Log into second account ONLY. Do you get the 'acceleration'. Check the Control Panel as I stated, is it set the LOWEST LEVEL?

Second test: Reboot to safe mode, does it 'accelerate' now? If so then yes it is a Windows issue specifically you need to reload. If it doesn't then it is a program your 'booting up' at start up.

My turn to say it slowly: GO TO STORE. BUY Ext drive. Come home. Plug in drive and run Windows Easy Transfer and backup your data. Download DBAN and wipe drive. Reinstall Windows, then just the game, does it do it now? If so then the problem is the built in driver for that mouse.

- Yes still get it.

Check the Control Panel as I stated, is it set the LOWEST LEVEL?
- i set speed at minimum, not only it made it impossible for the mouse to move but also made me turn my DPI up to max (3500) and also turn the ingame sensivity higher, now the sensivity was just insane, i would move my mouse slowly and do like 10 spins, move my mouse as fast as i can and move 40°. didnt work.

Second test: Reboot to safe mode, does it 'accelerate' now?

- i have absolutely no idea if it does. after doing that i couldnt launch any game because a message would pop up saying something about directX crashing.

Reinstall Windows, then just the game, does it do it now? If so then the problem is the built in driver for that mouse.
- wait a moment... if accel doesnt show up in the other PC which has the same configuration as this one, then the problem shouldnt be in it... oh and BTW because i ended spending all my money in the gaming PC then i cant afford an ext disc but eventually ill need to buy one as for i need more space, but even though... i mean WTF is it that complicated? its just acceleration! its not like if i deleted some windows32 stuff or so and you are telling me to do the same thing over and over and i am clearly saying that the problem isnt in the program it just isnt there as for it doesnt give me the problem in the other PC and when i try to use other mouses in this PC accel still shows up.

IDK if this has something to do but i tried mousemovementrecorder and it doesnt seem to show up any problem.

HOLD IT... you did exactly the opposite to fixing it when you thrust your DPI (acceleration) to 3500. We were trying to establish where the problem lay (yes I know you keep saying ONLY in the game.. wait a sec I will get to that).... With it set to minimum I wanted to see what happened when you tried the game, did it change what happened IN Game or not. If NOT then the problem isn't in Windows it is ONLY in the Game, thus not a 'Windows issue'. Your results while humorous did prove this anyway.

Set the Control Panel to Normal settings. Set your mouse to normal 800DPI. If you increase DPI it will also increase acceleration. Now your results PROVE only it happens IN GAME, which means there is ONLY two ways this changes. 1) settings in the Game itself change the acceleration (OPTIONS/SETTING from the first screen or hit ESC to access them) or 2) the MOUSE DRIVER/Application software automatically sets in the background the game to a totally different setting.

Ways to resolve this 1) Check IN the game OPTIONS/SETTINGS (which you said you 'did'), 2) REMOVE ALL APPLICATION AND DRIVERS FOR THE MOUSE from the system.

Well if there is some registery setting that immediately switched acceleration during 3D gaming but not 2D computer use (this is always has been a 'feature' of add on software included with the mouse) but your insisting it isn't the mouse nor the software for it. Well to prove that we clear Windows out completely and test with a BASIC Windows install, and the game, does it happen now? No/Yes? Then when you install the drivers for the mouse does it suddenly change? No/Yes?

If you feel this is all "that complicated" then SELL the system and go buy a Console because YES IT IS ALL THAT COMPLICATED. Your reaction to me seems to tell me the best solution for any further 'complications' and frustrations is you need something as simplistic as a console, and should ONLY stick with it. Otherwise SUCK IT UP this is what every one with a PC does.

dont talk to me like that im just trying to solve a problem and im asking why is the problem so deep for something so simple, you can call me a whore, a bitch, but never a console player OK? i came here to get some help not to be blabbering with an inmature kid that got offended cause he insists that he is correct and doesnt want to hear. when i tell you SLOWLY that the mouse software isnt the problem you get offended for being explained SLOWLY as for you, shame on you, sir.

Tiger,

Your reaction was heated and antagonistic, thus what do you expect in return? Flowers and apology because you obviously haven't a clue to how complex the problems with PC enviroment can be. It is a level of deduction, the steps I provided were logical, used before, and from many years of experiance, certification, and knowing WHAT THE HELL I WAS DOING.

Take the advise or not, the steps are the steps to point out ONE part is function, or ONE part is NOT functioning. There is a limited set of parts, it is a step by step process, and your 'reasoning' of 'just knowing' doesn't prove a thing. That is why I laid it out to prove to yourself, which part is the problem because your reasoning makes NO SENSE. There is no magical Windows changes your setting just because your in a game only on the mouse. THE ONLY advertised item that does that 'description' is Mouse Applications, that would provide for example Mouse button combos for EVE flying as compared to BF4 Medic class soldier, or lower DPI in using Paint Shop Pro but for Ghosts would ramp it to 3200DPI.

You refuse to believe the software could possible be involved. That leave that Windows is screwed up in the registery, which means a reload. SO to prove what IS the cause, there is the steps. One STEP at a time. You do them and then observe, you see a change then you NARROWED it to the specifics that changed and you know where it is that causes it. SIMPLE. But for you complex. Sorry, but that is either whining for the sake of whining or your just better to not waste more effort on a PC when a console is more your speed. It is no big deal, I can't for shit play console with those joysticks, I admit it freely. Is no big deal, your the only one being rude, crude and obnoxious, and most of all childish on the matter.

Take the advise, leave it, take the PC to a Professional IT tech, or just unplug it and leave it in the corner. Doesnt' matter to me, my life moves on. But ask a simple question... WHAT IF I AM RIGHT?

then you could of just introduced me a little bit and told me that its complex well whatever now i know and its true its dealing with a brain, i just cant believe it for the fact that it happens with every single mouse i plug in so i just cant take it in mind and lol same with me here i cant handle the small controllers in ps4 & xbox, anyway sorry for my reaction i guess im just desperate and it takes me nowhere, what im going to do is record a little gameplay on the game that seems to affect the most (black ops) and ill post a link here, youll see how even though i move the mouse at the same speed, it would go fast and then slow (PS my laptop has a really old GPU so recording may be slow) i would just like to record to show you how the mouse patterns go... now i doubt if its acceleration or something else.

Don't bother with the video I dont' need it. Your changing your results now, before you said the issue is massive 'acceleration' in games now your saying "it would go fast and then slow", that is a different problem. Have you installs MSI Afterburner and looked at your FPS? Is it because your 'really old GPU' is lagging then catching up? You haven't defined what games this is happening, nor have you provided your specs (download and use SPECCY to provide it).

Please keep specifically to the facts. If it is just 'acceleration in games' but not on the desktop/Word/Chrome/etc. then that is additional software which comes with the Razer to enhance performance response 'in games' (i.e. ramp up to 3600DPI) so you can move faster then your opponent. But you don't need that when using Word or clicks links in a webpage.

If you have speed up and slow DOWN (both) occur in a game, that can again be any number of things such as the HDD is very slow to load code parts.. to your RAM is slow in 'reading then passing' the data to the CPU, to the CPU is slow to process to figure out what to do with the code to your GPU is so old it can't play the games at a steady Frame Rate (FPS) and your speeding up / slowing down in the game as it catches and slows. To it can be a bad loaded game (remove and reload) to Drivers need to be updated, to Windows is screwed up and needs to be reloaded, and so on and so forth COMPLICATED.

As I said, if this is all too technical and over your head you have two real options, Bring it to a professional IT support to resolve in person, or sell it off and just be thankful for how simple consoles are.

(you) - response 'in games'
-hmm... good point it could be that as for having "accel" in desktop doesnt seem to happen.+

anyways here the link to the video it may help if you see it
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28LNr-PybsQ&feature=youtu.be

as you can notice in the video, i was moving the mouse at the same speed as slow as i could and you can kinda see at the end of the video how it speeds up

i think i could try to do the following which someone posted:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rage\base

r-click > new > txt file

m_smooth 0

close > save > name it rageconfig.cfg

....but the problem going is with the game call of duty black ops and after entering "rage" folder which in my case is "call of duty black ops" folder, i dont have the "base" folder but i have the following folders...

main
mods
movies
players
redist
zone

OKay first the video, yes it is supposed to do that, because it detects your still moving, so as you keep moving it accelerates with it. This again is a function of the Razer software.

2ND: In regards to your system, your CPU is 1st Gen iCore and is past the end of life. The HDD when I Googled is 5400RPM, ungodly slow, and causes the reading of code from storage take forever. Your memory is terribly slow (memory of most system is 1066Mhz, twice your speed) and terrible timing (9-9-9-24!!!) which taked PAINFULLY forever waiting for it to think about handing the code form the HDD to the CPU. Lastly your GPU is too out of date, in fact based on the FPS, only 2009 or older games can be played, any 2010+ games (Liek Black Ops) pushes the GPU pasts its limitations causing very poor performance. FYI you can't even play Skyrim on the card!
http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Radeon-HD-6470M.43075.0.html

Basically you can use this to do your homework surf websites, play youtube vids, and so on, but don't try to game with anything made in the past 5 years, it can't handle it (performance being 45FPS or better, usually want 60FPS) . Getting 30s and below in UNPLAYABLE by all measures as compared to what the game 'advertised' your experiance would be like.

So between you being confused by your mouse software and a ssytem way need of being replaced 4 years ago, I think your just going to have to suck it all up.

BTW which laptop do you think i should get then? this PC is worth $1000 here believe it or not as for everything is overpriced, i could sell it easily at $500 and with that money which good notebook can i get for the money? yes it would be used for what you said but lets say someday i want to play a game and im not at home i would like to play them i dont care about graphics in a laptop (i know this is a different story) but, could you give me some ideas please?

(what do you think about this one? http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-Envy-M6-15-6-AMD-A10-QuadCore-2-90GHz-Turbo-6GB-750GB-Beats-HD-Ultrabook-/190999233812?pt=Laptops_Nov05&hash=item2c78710514 )
