Hi i've M5A78L-M LX V2 mobo which supports 2 x DIMM, Max. 16GB, DDR3 1866(O.C.)/1600(O.C.)/1333/1066 MHz ECC, Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory
Dual Channel Memory Architecture. But i've installed one 4GB memory stick(Corsair Vengeance) now i want to know can i install a 8GB memory stick into other slot?? Someone told me that i've to install a 4GB as bcz i had installed 4Gb previously..!!! Please help me out if i can install a 8GB memory stick and is it safe to use with?? thanks

it will recognize both 4gb and 8gb sticks but wont take advantage of dual channel, the timings and speed may get weird too. Its much safer more reliable and efficient to go with 2 8gb sticks

I don't have i'm planning to upgrade my RAM to maximum..so is it won't support 12GB or else i've to buy another 4gb stick.
