I just bought an AMD quad core 125w cpu, upgrading from my old dual core 65w cpu. When i put in the new proccessor the monitor doesnt power on and i have no power in the usb slots. I'm thinking the cpu is faulty but could it be possible my psu cant support it? i can't tell what wattage my psu is because i bought it from a local computer store that had some they ordered in bulk, no name generic psu that has no watt markings on it. all it says on the back is 12v / 2.0w. any help is appreciated!

Solution
check your bios version . sometimes newer cpus are added latter on with a bios update. asus says that your cpu is supported after bios update 1605.
Put your old processor back and check your bios version
