i have never used spdif but what i am trying to do is connect the spdif from a satellite box to an amplifier which i have, to the red and white connections of the amplifier, what would i need etc! what equipment would i need to make that work.

spdif is digital, it doesn't go the red or white inputs, which are analog, it goes to a digial input.

GETOCHKN thanks for your answer mate, the amplyfier i have is an old one, it does not have a digital in put, i think i will leave it and not bother. thanks
