Hello,

I want to buy asus xonar st/stx or the xi-fi titanium hd. The problem is that I can't find anyone who could tell me how good are they for recording. I would like to have warm voice.

I had Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer and it had very warm voice. But it had problems with drivers on win 7. Now I have audiotrak maya u5 and I miss that 'warm' thing when I record tutorials.

Could you tell me if I should choose asus or xi-fi?

I have condenser microphone and amplifier + equalizer box. Mic and ampf+equalizer are constructed by my cousin.

Here is how you can hear me now: link

Of course if you have any other solutions please share them.

Best regards

I haven't used any ASUS sound cards recently, but I do give the brand a good deal of trust. Every ASUS product I've owned is still functioning and that dates back nearly a decade. The Xonar STX also comes highly recommended by the Newegg community, with very few posting helpful criticisms. Creative's products have a rough history with me. I've owned many of their sound cards and they have a bad history of putting out awful drivers/software/support. I think the sound card industry has benefited from the fresh blood that ASUS and a few others have brought.

I hope that helps. Good luck in your sound hunting!
