Hi every one,
I have a problem with overclocking my current PC through ASUS Dual Intelligent Procesors 4. It is not working as shown in the Asus videos. It does OC my i7 4770k from the default turbo mode at 3.9Ghz to 4.3Ghz (still not the expected 4.5-4.6Ghz).
There are basically 2 problems here I don´t know how to fix:

1. While it does OC my system it does not show the correct info in the DIP4 interface, it shows a BCLK of 80 with a 39 multiplier while the CPUID shows that is really 100Mhz multiplied by 43. It neither shows any CPU Performance % increment when it is OCing the CPU (not like it is important but still an error).
And it does not let me tweak anything under the TPU tab... ;s It just reverts to defaults each time I click on apply for something. :(

2. In the ASUS videos it clearly shows how the system automatically adapts the current CPU clock depending on the CPU use, going from 800Mhz to the maxed 4500Mhz. While mine only swaps between 4.1 and 4.3Ghz speeds... :(
I´ve tweaked all the parameters both in Bios and DIP4 setting them in Adaptative move and nothing changes, it only manages the voltage but not the ratio multiplier...:s
Ant idea on why is this happening?

Thank you every one in advance for your help! ;)

I do not have this set-up but I always make sure I have the latest BIOS update and all the Drivers updated before OCn. :)

Other than that found a link on YouTube that might give you some valuable information. Good luck to you.

Thankyou everyone who read this for your time, I´ve finally found the answer to the second question.
Why my CPU clock was not going down to 800Mhz while in adaptive mode?
Just in case some one has the same doubt, in my case the problem where two:

1st. Th OS Power management configuration (in my case windows) has to be set in balanced or if set on high performance it has to be tweaked setting the max and min processor states to 5% and 100% and not 100% and 100% which is the default for high performance mode.

2nd. Enabling the "C states" in the Bios. I belive this also helps the cpu tu be able to save power and reduce clock speed by disconnecting certain parts of the CPU not used when in idle. Sorry if my explanation is not 100% accurate... :p

I still would love someone able to tell me if it´s there any reason on why DIP4 is not working as expected:

Thanks! ^^

Assuming your M/B is still under warranty you might just contact ASUS Support and present your problem to them. You just may have a defective M/B and if so ASUS Support would be able to get a RMA for you.
