For the past week everytime i boot my desktop it loads up fast but once i've logged in, it just goes to a crawl. it won't respond no matter what i do, i've error checked the disc, i've trouble shooted every option i've unistalled everything that was installed recently i've done a full virus scan and now im just running out of ideas.

my rigs set up is currently:
MSI z87 motherboard
intel haswell i7 4770k (overclocked to 4.4 ghz, which is not being used atm)
16gb hypx kingstone ram
asus gtx770 oc edition
1000 watt powersupply

any ideas would be so appreicated as i can't even open my documents anymore to get my uni work off it.

Thanks in advance,

Nothing looks abnormal in the task manager, cpu usage is flickering between 0 and 1% memory usage is at about 2gb.
svchost has been using more memory recently currently at 161,500k.
changed the oc profile to my overclocked setting and it seems to be responding a bit quicker but it's still taking 10 minutes or so to open the task manager. i'll try another virus scan.
