Overclocked my monitor... new refresh rate doesn't show everywhere?

As the title says, I bought and overclocked an Asus PB278Q monitor to 85mhz refresh rate. I used a custom resolution utility to create a profile with 85mhz and them implemented it on nVidia control panel. In nVidia control panel it shows both the stock profile and the one I created, 85mhz. I select 85 and the screen changes and asks me if I want to keep these settings.

However, I cannot get it to change in other places, like it is not reading the new refresh profile.
For example, right clicking on the desktop and under Screen Resolution | Advanced Settings | Monitor - there my refresh rate is listed as stock 60mhz. I believe that some of my games use the desktops resolution and refresh rate as their base, so in turn I am not getting anything above 60mhz in games either. I could be wrong about this but regardless, I would like to fix it.

Any and all help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Hello... A monitor is a Passive device... it has no Control over the signal Freq... Your Video card is the Active Component, The Engine, The Signal Generator... set your Video card out to 85 hz, and see if the Monitor will read it or not... Electronic inside the Monitor is trying to Keep sync'd with your Video card Signal, and there is a LIMIT to what it can be Sync'd at...there is no re-wiring the Electronics with a Software Profile.

Some Software uses the the Windows Drivers, Some software have there own Drivers, and might not have Multi freq settings/options with them.

Most monitors will display the Sync'd Freq, with a few button pushes on the Monitor.
