ive got a self built PC ere are the specs:

Asrock960GmUS3 FX
Fx6300
OCZ 650w
WD 1tb green
audigy sound card
4gb kingston ram
4gb corsair ram

basically ive been having a string of errors ever since getting the PC< ive upadted all drivers, and even the BIOS. memtest has shown no failures and ive got prime 95 running in the background now.

examples include the audio not working right, i can plug things in the front jack and and than unplug it and try to plug it back in without working, and it makes youtube crash. i even tried connecting the front panel to the sound card that i bought still....

other issues include random computer crashes, the computer completely freezes it happens as soon as the computer starts severely lagging and than it occurs. im thinking it might be firefox or something because firefox is dodgey aswell the writing becomes blurred sometimes and its usually the only application ive got running on the PC (will get a GPU after my Alevels - i know ill get addicted lol and jeopardize my engineering dream).

pinpointing it down i know the RAM is fine, (memtest), the harddrive and psu shouldnt cause issues it might be the cpu which is very unlikely so im supposing its the motherboard.

My brother wants me to build a PC for him, im wondering how common is it for people to come across these randsom crashing issues and such on a new build because i dont want to be stuck with problems i cant sort out.

well you have mixed ram so even though they might pass memtest they still might not play well together, so that is always a possibility, the front panel issues most likely arise from the front panel not being properly grounded or shielded. Might can be fixed with some electrical tape if you see where the cords are touching metal between the panel and the board.
