I need help I have a new Xfinity wireless router and would like to also use my old Linksys WRT160N router as the xfinty one frequently drops. I would like to connect my old Linksys WRT160N router to my new Xfinity wireless modem and have access to both. But I can't configuer the Linksys modem using IP 192.168.1.1 - it won't come up on any of my computers.

I would just set up the old Linksys as a wireless AP and use a different channel than the Xfinity radio (selecting from 1, 6, and 11). The Linksys needs an LAN to LAN connection, a static IP address that is in the network range used by the Xfinity (but is not the exact same address), turn off the Linksys DHCP. That static address for the Linksys should also be set in the Xfinity static table (you will need the Linksys MAC address to do that).
