Hello, I am interested in upgrading components of my old PC to get better performance. Ultimately I would like to be able to stream internet shows through my HDMI port of GPU to my Insignia 42" LED HD TV. Looking to get the most I can without spending too much. Any recommendations would be appreciated. My current PC specs are:

  • Dell OptiPlex GX620 Mini-Tower

    Intel Pentium D CPU 3.00GHz (Intel Pentium D 830 Smithfield)

    Motherboard = Dell Inc 0HH807

    I have maxed out the RAM with 4GB kit (2GBx2), 240-pin DIMM

    Installed a SAMSUNG Spinpoint F4 HD322GJ/U 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

    Windows 7 OS 32-bit (though it appears my PC is 64-bit ready)

    Added a ASUS AMD Radeon HD 6450 video card

Solution
This is the list, if you want to upgrade, but you have to raise your fund a bit more. You can keep the RAM if you want to use 32bit OS, or can add extra 4GB of RAM if you want to use 64bit OS, of same brand and frequency and timing.

You have to upgrade your Cabinet, cause its small and the components will not fit in.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($209.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($124.98 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card ($249.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Case: Corsair 400R ATX Mid Tower Case ($69.99 @...
there are really no upgrades that will give this machine any appreciable boost. its just too old. about the only cpu upgrade for your socket 775 board is a 3.2ghz pentium d so nothing noticable there.upgrading your gpu would just bottleneck your existing processor.about the only thing you can do is install a 64bit operating system to take advantage of all your ram.

Thanks for the input. Would it be possible to get an upgrade bundle (processor, motherboard, memory) to install and if so what do you recommend?
