I have currently a Sapphire Radeon HD 7750 with my ASRock FM2A75M-DGS Motherboard, Im due an upgrade, thinking of a 7870 GHz edition, I have an AMD-A8 5600K APU and 500w PSU, any help or reccomendations for GPU upgrade?

The motherboard has a PCI-e 2.0 x16 slot so you're good to go. The 7870 shouldn't be bottlenecked by that CPU, but you may want to get a quality 550W PSU to be on the safe side. I don't know what brand you're currently using, but the power supply is the last part you would want to cheap out on.
